Ever since I was little, Ive had this strange bone formation formating across the top of my shoulder blade. Lately the skin, muscle, and nerves have been sore as the bone is continueously pushing up against my skin. I havent been to the doctor yet as it isnt quit serious enough yet, but its getting bad enough to start to bother me. If you have any ideas or suggestions email me and let me know.
I will be eagerly awaiting your response. September 26, at pm. I totally agree with sonoya. Im not here to say stuff that no one wants to hear about, like global warming and stuff…, but I DO want to meet this guy, and show him my theory on how the wings can work.
October 20, at pm. Hey guys. I was thinking, what if we created a seperate organ in our bodies where marrow could produce blood. I mean, that way our bones could be much lighter, allowing us to fly.
I mean its a pretty interesting subject and I would love to be able to fly. Remember, if you find anything interesting about this please email me here. October 21, at am. October 21, at pm. Your article inspired me to never give up, even with the impossible. I woould give anything to be able to have wings and a tail to control my flights. If you need a volunteer, please let me know right away.

And they, plus many other bio-augmentations, would be made from our own stem cells. All we need to do is saturate a cellulose latice network with billions and billions of stem cells and then encourage them to develope into the required cells they need to be by introducing certain chemicals.
All of this is possible here and now but the rules against the use of some of the technologies are very restrictive. For me I would have dragon like wings, 3 tails, chinchilla thick fur, gills, scales as thick and hard as a dragon, and an extra set of arms. Oh yeah, my sight would include all levels of the electromagnetic spectrum.

But for now it's pretty impossible sorry to say.
And no one bring up angels because I can't explain that without saying "god willed it". I really don't think the human body could support wing's myself, We are just not designed to fly. I think, that although it will take years we do have a chance at flight. There would have to be a DNA cocktail though, not just bird and human. You would need the DNA of certain insects as their exoskeletal structure in the unique honeycomb formation would provide the human body with a skeleton capable of withstanding the stresses of flight and flight muscles, the insect DNA would essentially make our bones light and incredibly strong.
You would also need DNA from some type of ape, preferably the orangutan, as the fibrous strings that make up their muscle mass confer a strength much greater than their appearance would suggest, as in they have a higher strength to mass ratio using this DNA, wouldn't deform the human musculature or appearance, merely take the place of what composes the muscles themselves. This makes us far more likely to survive any diseases we may with gene manipulation become susceptible to.
Billions of years of evolution produce a perfect mechanism of a body for flying birds. Genetic engineering can not match evolution. I think you mean 'Liger'. And that comparison is not even similar to what is being proposed in this thread. A lion and a tiger share the same genus. To combine DNA from birds and humans would require some serious handy work on the scientist's part, and even then, the odds of it producing anything other than a pool of goo would not be good. The human chest cavity is far too small to support wings.
If it could work, we wouldn't look like man with wings. We would end up looking monsterous. However, every case is different and some of the surgical sites are harder to deal with, depending on the severity of the exposure and what is left from soft and hard tissue support. Tissue sloughing from upper arch - A relatively, not infrequent, "normal" complication occurs where the tissue sloughs.
It has to do with the size of the graft that was taken. Every individual's healing pattern is different, and the same is true for the pain threshold. However, one suggested approach is to fabricate a plastic vacuum form of your upper arch. This is a clear, thin plastic that snaps press-fit onto your teeth and is trimmed to make sure that the palate is covered in its entirety. Thus, it will provide pressure to the donor site after the surgery and avoid irritation from food and the tongue. If a series of grafting surgeries is expected, this is a good option and would certainly have a positive effect.
Infection - Similar to any type of surgical procedure, infection will delay wound healing. This is especially true for oral wounds that are exposed to continuous bacterial challenge. Uneven healing - Following complete wound healing, if there is an obvious problem with symmetry, it may be necessary to go back and do what is called "gingivoplasty".
This is a simple procedure performed to thin the extra soft tissue. Treatment outcome is generally evaluated weeks after soft tissue grafting. If the graft tissue was thick to start with, the superficial layer will slough off but the deep parts will survive.
The most outside portion of the graft would not survive due to lack of blood supply. It becomes necrotic-white and comes out. What is left should be reddish in color and will survive.
