So is all the files staying ot just some? Something after what ever happens like netscape crashed etc they may not all get cleaned up right. Netscape 7 has all the types of file as a file type.
I have not had trouble with 7. Here is a good site. Open Netscape and then go up to file and to "open file" and just open any very small image or text file on your PC. Then go and clear the caches. I think it keeps 4 files there and that should be it. I believe I said so in my initial question. Still I want to know if those are temp files and if it is safe to delte them. Thank you.
If everything deleted ok you should only see these 4 files after you close down netscape and look at the cache folder. But the good news is you can delete all the files in your cache folder. The next time you open Netscape 7 it will make those 4 files again. I am using Netscape Communicator 4.

If not there then on the screen where you are clearing the cache it will show you the correct location. Delete the entire cache folder. Netscape will recreate it the next time it starts up. This will delete the fat. This is the only file that netscape does not delete when you empty the cache.
After a while it may be come bloated or corrupted. I reloaded netscape on top of itslef and it works fine I don't wnat to have to rebbuild addys or bookmarks but even NOW there is no cache folder! I deleted both
